Product details

The PE900 is the dedicated-embroidery choice in this selection for the familiar 5 × 7 size class. Brother states a maximum embroidery area of 5 × 7 inches and describes supported designs up to 130 × 180 mm. The machine includes 193 embroidery designs and 13 fonts, with both USB importing and wireless transfer available. Color Sort can reorganize stitching by color, and jump-stitch trimming addresses connecting threads within a color.[2]

That combination is useful for a maker whose projects have moved from tiny monograms toward longer names, decorative panels or more substantial motifs. The extra space should be evaluated against actual files, not only a product photograph. A design must fit the usable field in an allowed orientation; a larger frame in a seller's kit does not automatically increase that limit.[2]

The main tradeoff is specialization. The PE900 will not replace the sewing machine used to assemble a bag or finish a garment. Compare the SE2000 when those tasks must share one machine. Before buying downloadable artwork, check its dimensions, file requirements and commercial-use license. Manufacturer features support this comparison, but no claim is made that this machine was physically tested or that any particular seller's bundle is essential.[2]
